Now that the urban wildlife workshop season has come to an end until next autumn, let's look back at a few photo favourites. The boating lake came up trumps with many beautiful waterbirds and also great backgrounds to shoot against. One of my top tips for my clients is "Don't ignore the background!" - in autumn, the oranges and greens can give a lovely warmth to your images; whilst the low sun and long shadows of winter mornings can, in the right hands, create a brooding atmosphere. On a windy day, the water surface is disturbed with inky ripples, so a calm dawn is the best time to get those winning reflection shots.
