Workshop Plan

We will spend the morning at North Berwick photographing water-birds and seascapes against the iconic backdrop of Bass Rock. Under my guidance you will learn how to capture the mood and motion in a range of subjects and stormy scenes.

We will then head to Aberlady Bay, a protected reserve of cliffs, sand-dunes and tidal mudflats. There is much unique fauna and flora here, from Long-Eared Owls and Roe Deer to winter thrushes. On the sand-dunes you will learn to photograph minimalist sand-scapes, whilst further along at Gullane Point, you will capture compelling seacapes with strong composition and dramatic lighting.

At sunset, we will watch for the spectacular return of the 20,000 Pink-Footed Geese which overwinter here - a spectacular sight when the skies are golden as they often are at this time of year. We can have a meal and a warming drink in a nearby pub and review our photos.

Please note that the exact itinerary is dependant on weather.
