Fresh from Madrid, I spent the Easter weekend at my parents' cottage in Normandy. Returning to a familiar place often poses the challenge of capturing new perspectives. So one morning, I rose before sunrise to photograph awakening animals by moonlight. Crows began to stir from their night roosts, leaving one by one towards the rising sun.
Do It Yourself: For the photo below, I composed my photo to include a section of woodland that was shrouded in mist, to add depth to the image. I waited for a pair of crows to fly through the frame. I adjusted my white balance to 'fluorescent', to bring out the cool blues in the sky.
