The Scottish Seabird Centre Photographic Awards recently announced their 2015 winners, and I'm proud to say that my image "Swallow at Twilight" took 1st prize in the Creative Visions category. The photo shows a swallow perched on a telegraph wire in front of the moon, and was taken at the Threave Estate in Galloway the previous summer.
I was also nominated for 3 other photo awards - with my images of a backlit reed deer coming close in the Creative Visions category, my Japanese swan in mist being nominated for the Scottish Wildlife award, and a nesting parakeet from my local park in the Worldwide Wildlife category. Lastly my video of a city fox's turf wars with a neighbourhood cat was a close forerunner in the Nature Shorts Video categories, beaten to first place by a stunning gannet film by my talented friend Tom Ross.
