Urban Wildlife Photo Workshops

Last month I ran a 1-day nature photography workshop in Regents Park, London. With our main focus being the friendly Grey Herons, we were rewarded with many stellar photo opportunities as they flew around the park looking for nesting material. Sunrise on the lakeside presented chances for atmospheric backlit and frontlit portraits of the Great-Crested Grebes with their chicks and Black-Headed Gulls on the rowboats. The Mute Swans and Egyptian Geese allowed participants to practise their action shots and test their skills in capturing preening and feeding behaviour.

It was a fantastic morning for all involved and really showed how much potential the city has for wildlife photographers.

Here are a few photos from the workshop.
